Job Description

US Finance is comprised of financial professionals who lead all aspects of financial activities, including corporate financial planning and analysis; pricing, affordability, and digital strategy; national field finance; and economic policy for McDonald's USA, LLC.

The National Field Finance (NFF) team is an extension of the U.S. Field Office Finance team. NFF’s role includes encouraging an environment for the 10 Field Offices to share standard methodologies, identify systemic solutions, and seek efficiencies. The National Field Finance team performs centralized Field Finance functions including but not limited to Franchisee financial health monitoring, restaurant sales analysis, real estate development support, and financial analysis for owner/operator business reviews. This role provides highly valued foundational knowledge about the U.S. Business and builds strong partnership with the Field that supports long-term career growth throughout the McDonald’s Global Finance organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and create consistent and effective reports, tools, and project automation to support NFF and Field Finance teams.
  • Proactively identify issues or gaps in current reports or reporting structures to drive efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other Departments and Field Finance teams to determine consistent reporting and information needs (Franchising, Treasury, Legal, Restaurant Development, Economic Policy & Strategy, Franchise Business Partners within Restaurant Operations, etc.)
  • Present proposed solution and reports to end-users driving engagement and allowing for continual improvement.
  • Support ad-hoc requests and analysis of franchisee financial health and overall restaurant profitability

US Field Office Finance Teams, US Controller Group, Global Business Services, US Development and Asset Management Teams, US Franchising, and Franchise Practice Group

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting/Finance (CPA and/or MBA preferred)
  • 3+ years of meaningful public accounting and/or finance experience
  • High proficiency with the Microsoft Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proficient in data structure, management, and visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Advanced Excel, Tableau)
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to influence decision making
  • Familiarity navigating large datasets in a complex business environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to use data to tell a story
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced business environment
  • Operates effectively in a team environment
