About the Role:

As a CBRE Communications Sr. Specialist, you will Assist in the coordination and development of internal and/or external communication materials (e.g. newsletters, press releases, internet/intranet pages, presentations, email communications, social media content), broadening business knowledge and further developing skills. You will track analytics and report outcomes and act as a primary content developer for corporate social media channels.

This job is part of the Communications job function. They are responsible for developing internal and external communications that are related to organizational values, strategy, and performance.

What You’ll Do:

  • May develop content (e.g. talking points, speeches, press releases, social media content, and web content) to support external messaging for business segments, and/or to the press, and social media, with Manager review.

  • May distribute press releases to the media, pitch story ideas to the media, coordinate media interviews, respond to reporter inquiries, with manager oversight.

  • Assist in developing analytics and reporting. Track engagement with content and reports on analytics. Examples of managing to performance metrics include: tracking engagement with employees around internal content, measuring engagement with social media posts and PR, and monitoring coverage relative to our competitors in the marketplace.

  • Advise on a variety of internal communications channels to support program goals, including email, intranet, media walls, etc.

  • Plan, execute, and deliver on a variety of external communications channels to support program goals, including social media, PR, etc. May include social media training.

  • Develop content for internal departments and company-side strategic initiatives, including leadership memos, intranet stories, internal email blasts.

  • Develop communication plans and programming in support of the business/internal departments with Manager review. Work may be written word or visual or both; and/or technical in nature.

  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.

  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.

  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.

  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-6 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

  • Experience working with benefits, compensation and other HR functions is a plus!

  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
