Senior Interior Designer Location: Washington, DC Job Description - Act as the creative lead of a three-person design teamproject manager, designer, and design assistantfrom concept to installation
- Collaborate with clients to understand and develop their vision for project
- Create and send design proposals to clients
- Create and present fabric and finish schemes, space plans, and mood boards to clients
- Select architectural details and materials (textiles, flooring, paint, lighting, etc.)
- Work closely with the procurement manager to place orders
- Work with project manager to schedule and supervise all installations
- Act as the clients point of contact for all decorating elements of the project
- Conduct site visits and work with architects, contractors, PM, and clients to execute design plan
- Manage 5 to 10 clients simultaneously
- Mentor design assistant to help elevate and develop their design skills
Job Requirements - 5+ years of experience in interior design
- Bachelors degree in interior design, architecture, or interior architecture
- A strong design aesthetic
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Advanced knowledge of the FF&E selection process (including finishes)
- Familiarity with industry vendors
- Demonstrated ability to delegate and work collaboratively with colleagues and clients
- Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage construction sites
- Experience using Design Manager preferred
- Must have a car
