Job Title: Test Lead
Location : Minneapolis, MN OR Denver, CO (Hybrid Tue-Thur Onsite)
Duration : 12 Months
Compensation : $55-57/hr + benefits
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Test Lead to support key IT projects, including the Energy Trade Risk Management Project and the Field Mobile Project. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading the testing phase, ensuring software integration and legacy system replacement are executed effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
Testing Phase Leadership: Own and lead all testing phases post-design and implementation.
Manage unit/component testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Test Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans and schedules.
Engage with business users and project teams to write and execute test cases.
Ensure timely completion of testing tasks while maintaining alignment with stakeholders.
Communication & Coordination: Report directly to the Project Manager (PM).
Collaborate with business unit partners, project partners, and external vendors.
Take initiative to resolve testing issues and ensure smooth execution.
Quality Assurance (QA): Apply a strong QA background, particularly in large corporate environments with software integrations. Ensure thorough testing of software integrations in legacy system environments.
Methodology: Primarily work within the waterfall methodology, though agile experience is a plus.
Ensure adherence to structured testing processes and frameworks.
Candidate Requirements:
-7-9 years of testing experience, with multiple years in a test lead role.
-Software & Tools: Experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software, Confluence, JIRA, and test scripting tools (e.g., Python).
-Software Integration: Proven experience with testing software integrations in corporate environments.
-Methodology: Familiarity with waterfall methodology (preferred); agile is a plus.
-QA Expertise: Strong background in quality assurance and software testing.
