Key Responsibilities:

Interpreting Services: Deliver clear and accurate interpretation of spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during virtual classroom activities, meetings, and other school-related events.
Support and Advocacy: Advocate for the communication needs of students to ensure they have equal access to educational opportunities and can fully engage in the virtual school environment.
Collaborating with Educators: Partner with teachers, school staff, and parents to support the educational and social needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Maintaining Confidentiality: Handle all communications with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications:

Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., RID Certification, NIC, or BEI).
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and a solid understanding of Deaf culture.
Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
Proficiency with virtual communication tools and platforms.
