TransPerfect Translations International Inc. seeks a Software Development Manager to join their Applications Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a software team involved in integrating multiple software development projects. This will be a technical role, as the manager will also be getting their hands dirty writing and reviewing code.
Responsibilities:
Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Design, develop, and document new project requirements
Manage and coordinate developer schedules
Shepherd features through the SDLC to ensure new features and bug fixes are released in a timely manner.
Provide technical advice to developers
Promote the sharing of common architectural constructs, standards and frameworks across projects within the organization
Design and deploy data table structures for data handling and index optimization
Implement architectures that satisfy project requirements and provide future leverage.
Conduct integration testing and unit testing using NUnit and Jasmine Test frameworks for various application modules.
Code new features and maintain APIs using C#, .NET Core APIs, and SQL server
Review developer’s code and provide constructive feedback to ensure consistency and quality of code.
Research and evaluate new software technologies for continuous improvement of system features and performance..
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years software development management experience responsible for implementing SDLC and other related procedures, policies and supporting business systems (version control, bug tracking, product support, project management)
Proven leader of people that can get results and the best of people
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to provide solutions for complex problems and challenges
Knowledge of source control systems including Azure DevOps Server, Git and SVN.
Advanced level of object oriented design and modeling.
Strong knowledge of design patterns
Fast learner who can work with minimal supervision
Strong Oral and Written communication skills
