The Contra Costa Health Department is offering an exciting opportunity for a Per Diem Speech Pathologist in our Rehab Therapy Unit. This position is based in Martinez, CA at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC), but is required to travel to the Martinez Health Center in Martinez, CA, the Pittsburg Health Center in Pittsburg, CA, and the West County Health Center in San Pablo, CA, depending on where coverage is needed. Working hours will be 16 – 40 hours per week and must be available on weekdays and weekends. Please note that schedules will be created in advance.
The Rehabilitation Therapy department is committed to providing the community with high-quality, individualized comprehensive rehab services within the parameters of available resources to all who seek care. Our team of highly skilled therapists endeavor to treat the total patient by integrating therapy disciplines within the department and by providing both inpatient and outpatient services. Our rehab therapists are dedicated to developing better ways to address and manage complex patient problems and provide quality care to underserved populations.

Minimum Qualifications
License Required:
Possession of a valid California motor vehicle operator's license. Out-of-state valid motor vehicle operator's license will be accepted during the application process.
Possession of a current and valid license as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the State of California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology and Hearing Aide Dispensers Board.
Certificate:
Possession of a current and valid American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Certification:
Must possess and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate issued by the American Heart Association or a CPR certification issued by the American Red Cross.
