The Starbucks Barista is responsible for creating the Starbucks experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, while maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

In this role you will:

•Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture, values and mission of Maverick Gaming and Starbucks.

•Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standards and to set a positive example for the shift team.

•Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.

•Communicate information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Third-Place environment during each shift.

•Contribute to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in associate morale and performance and communicate them to the store manager.

•Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discover and respond to customer needs.

•Follow Starbucks and Maverick Gaming operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.

•Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and products as needed.

•Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

•Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.

•Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.

•Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients.

•Create a friendly atmosphere for guests and team.

•Perform related and/or other duties as required.

Requirements

•Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

•Ability to work with Point of Sale (POS) system.

•Ability to prioritize and organize, uses time efficiently.

•Posses basic math skills and have the ability to handle money.

•Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification as needed.

•Strong interpersonal skills.

•Resolve problems using good judgment, displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment, and makes timely decisions.

•Actively promote and personally observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.
