Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to assist our large energy client's outage team. This role will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, with budgets ranging from $100K to $5M. This includes overseeing the complete project lifecycle, from development to execution, across multiple power plants in North Carolina, including locations in Charlotte, Cliffside Station, and Shelby. The ideal candidate for this role will have a general skill level in project management, with a focus on experience in power plants, particularly steam and gas turbines.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple outage projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Oversee the maintenance, inspection, and repair of steam turbines.
• Develop detailed outage plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure successful outage execution.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Manage subcontractors.
• Develop and implement strategies for optimizing steam turbine performance and efficiency.
• Coordinate with turbine engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or 10+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years experience in project management, preferably in the power plant industry and outage management.
• Experience with steam turbines.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience:

• PE certification
• OSHA certification

Additional Details:

• Work Schedule : Outage-driven, with 3 days remote and 2 days onsite
• Contract Length : 3 years
