POSITION SUMMARY:
Civic Engagement Leaders will work with together in the RinglingVotes campus coalition to create
a calendar of programming centered around the elections, voting, and voter education. Leaders
will create, promote, and support non-partisan campus events that include voter registration,
voter education and voter engagement for local, state, and federal elections. These Leaders will
collaborate campus administrators, faculty, staff, student leaders, student clubs and
organizations, nearby college campuses, and community partners to register students, assist with
questions and education regarding each method of voting and engage the campus in the election
process. Other duties will include collaboration on the creation of social media campaigns and
distributing information on campus social media outlets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Co-Develop and co-design voter engagement programming calendar; including events
that educate about the voting process and initiatives that allow for student exploration and
discussion of issues with other Civic Engagement Leaders in RinglingVotes.
•Plan event details and logistics including location, facilities needs, and supplies.
•Create and distribute posters, social media content, and website content to promote
RinglingVotes events and programs and share voter education messaging.
•Recruit students to assist with voter outreach and education.
•Communicate with community partners, including institutions of higher education, nonprofits,
and government organizations that support and partner on voter engagement
initiatives.
•Develop and deliver voter engagement and education presentations for classes, club
meetings, and residential programs.
•Assist with coordination, set up and break down of programs and events
•execute programming related to elections and voting.
•Assist with clerical and promotional activities (ie. Designing fliers, etc.) related to voter
education, registration, and election programming.
•Participate in traings, workshops, and meetings.

•Must be enrolled as a student of Ringling College of Art and Design.
•Must possess a commitment to civic engagement.
•Must be highly organized and willing to engage with the campus community and
community partners.
•Must be dependable and able work as scheduled.

REQUIREMENTS
•Must be committed to remaining non-partisan throughout all programming related to the
position.
•Must commit 3-10 hours per week
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must possess a high school diploma. Prior civic engagement experience preferred.
