Job Description

Job Title: Instructor

Location: Davenport, Iowa

Job Type: W2 Contract

Expected hours: 40 hours per week

Schedule: On-Site

Pay: $30 - $35 / hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and deliver various training programs to channel partners, company personnel, and customers, focusing on products, services, and professional skills.
  • Lead the development of content and training materials for classes, including marketing, technical, management, and sales topics.
  • Negotiate and manage outside vendor training and remote locations to meet training audience requirements.
  • Mentor less experienced instructors and take a lead role in training delivery.
  • Conduct extensive travel as required to deliver training sessions.
  • Research training topics to enhance subject matter expertise in product features, machine systems, professional skills, and product applications.
  • Share training information with appropriate channel partners, company personnel, and customers.
  • Assist and support channel partners, company personnel, and customers with training content and delivery.
  • Construct and maintain training aids, classroom exercises, simulations, and practice activities.
  • Document and update training curriculum in the Instructor Guide, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training courses and make necessary improvements.
  • Promote training products, systems, and materials using training knowledge.
  • Handle classroom/training event administration, including acquiring rosters, taking enrollments, completing exit evaluations, and communicating results to appropriate personnel or systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hands on experience working with machine systems including hydraulics, electrical, power train and engines.
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort developing and delivering presentations to both large and small audiences.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and lead a team to meet delivery dates.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with construction equipment in roadbuilding and site development applications
  • Experience in the training and development field related to instructional design, needs assessment and curriculum development.
  • Experience working directly with heavy equipment customers and/or the dealer network.
