Job Description

The Radisson Hotel at the Portland Airport is looking for a Transportation Agent to join our team.

The person we are looking for enjoys working as a team, is willing to learn new things, and has great customer service skills.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure all guests are greeted and offered friendly and professional service in a timely fashion.
• Provides a detailed explanation of all hotel facilities and amenities.
• Retrieve and transport guest luggage.
• Transport hotel guests in the van to and from the airport and/or local destinations.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Organize and store luggage, as needed according to guidelines.
• Ensure the management team is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and/or other departments.
• Communicate with the Front Desk to exchange information and receive requests for passenger service.
• Assist with guest transportation needs, i.e. cab/car service, provide bus/train schedules and reservations.
• Inspect vehicle for cleanliness, keep inside and outside clean and free of debris.
• Test vehicle equipment such as lights, brakes, horns, and windshield wipers, to ensure proper operation.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as regulating tire pressure and adding gasoline, oil, and water and notify manager of any vehicle problems.
• Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
• Maintain a safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
• Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Possession of government required licenses or certificates.
• Prior guest service experience.
• Minimum of one year experience in a driving role preferred.

Ability to:

• Handle many tasks at one time and work well under pressure.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Work as part of a team.
• Communicate effectively.
