Position Overview: The Transportation Planner will be responsible for managing the preparation of projects, supervising preparation of technical analysis, providing review of technical work products, and mentoring Assistant Transportation Planner-level staff. The Transportation Planner will play an integral role in the daily operations of the company and contribute to its overall success. This position will support the Transportation department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation of Traffic Impact, VMT and Parking Impact Analyses, including adherence to project schedules and budget.
• Prepare technical traffic and parking analyses using Vistro, Synchro, TransCAD, AutoCAD and other software as needed.
• Research and interpret applicable policies, guidelines, and technical methodologies as part of the preparation of technical traffic analyses.
• Research and interpret roadway standards and site design standards. Apply standards as necessary to prepare roadway signing and striping plans and truck turning templates.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant work (Transportation Planning, Traffic Engineering, Design, etc)
• Bachelors degree in engineering, urban planning, or a related field.
• Past use of softwares like but not limited to Vistro, Synchro, AutoCAD, TransCAD, and SimTraffic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
