Job Description

UX/UI Designer

Skills needed

Understand how templated and component web design systems are built and documented, from the Atomic Design level to Component and Template development to site deployment, UAT testing and continued refinement and testing.

Able to take brand and business needs to produce cohesive wireframes and documentation that meet expectations.

Able to document UX/UI solutions in a way that a development team can use them for application and feature development. Have the detail of a designer but also understand what a front-end development team needs in order to produce designs.

Has experience laying out web pages using a modular design system and taking it through the approval processes for authoring by a team.

Produce governance documentation of UX/UI assets for use by designers, authoring teams, business units and development teams.

Work in a team environment and be comfortable presenting mockups and designs to stakeholders as well as taking input and incorporating refinements.

UX/UI principles and processes needed

- Understand company Brand principles (colors, fonts, images) and how to apply them.

- Atomic Design principles. Development of these elements.

- Page and template construction

- Refine and understand user journeys and personas.

- Wireframe for complex business solutions using atomic elements, components, and templates

- Understand desktop vs tablet vs mobile needs (small, medium, and large)

- Component and governance documentation

- Understanding of testing and UX research

Program experience

- Adobe XD or Figma

- Adobe Creative Suite

- Preferred experience Designing for CMS like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

- Photoshop and Illustrator experience to produce image assets

- Understand web file size requirements

Development experience

- Understand front-end development needs and how to design and document for those needs

- Any front-end development experience is a plus

Overall experience

- Minimum 8 - 10 years of UX/UI work in a team environment
