Job Description

Job Title: Ultrasound Technician 
Location: Fairfield, CA
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (initial)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other weekend, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM. (40 hours one week, 24 hours the next)

Position Overview:

We are seeking highly skilled  Ultrasound Technicians for a 13-week contract in Fairfield, CA. The ideal candidates will have extensive hospital (acute care) experience and proficiency in vascular, OB, and pediatric imaging. Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Specialization: Strong vascular imaging experience (40%-50% of cases), as well as OB and pediatric expertise.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • RDMS/ARRT Certification (Required)
    • Current BLS Certification meeting compliance requirements
  • Skills Checklist: Complete and submit a skills checklist specific to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate daily ultrasound patient schedules and perform high-quality ultrasound studies following established protocols.
  2. Assist and guide patients throughout their procedures, ensuring their safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
  3. Evaluate each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
  4. Maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is clean and operational. Report malfunctions or failures to the supervisor.
  5. Assist in various radiology department tasks, including reception, patient transfers, and organizing paperwork.
  6. Process images accurately and complete charge sheets.
  7. Adhere to organizational standards for  Joint Commission Patient Safety , and  Department of Health compliance.
  8. Take on-call and/or standby responsibilities as needed.
