Press Record Media is a video production company based in Durham, Nc. We collaborate with brands to help share incredible stories, specializing in branded content and documentary production.

We are currently seeking a full-time Video Production Specialist to support our growing video team. The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller. Candidates must have strong narrative instincts and be able to tell an efficient story. They should know what material is essential to the piece and how to solve challenges or iterations required in post-production creatively. Candidates should be comfortable participating in brainstorming sessions and offering creative ideas to the larger team. They must be organized, efficient at managing time across multiple projects, and consistently meet deadlines. Candidates should be self-disciplined, motivated, able to take constructive feedback, and willing to learn. Only resumes and Cover Letters with an accompanying demo reel or portfolio will be accepted. This position is a 3-6 month contract-to-hire with a start period beginning March 3rd, 2025.

This role will primarily help with shooting video and photos, with a healthy balance of on-set experience and shooting. This is designed to be an entry-level position for somebody with limited experience. We will be looking at your portfolio so please send us work samples.

Responsibilities:

• Lead new initiatives and projects with limited supervision
• Collaborate with internal and external creative teams to concept and problem-solve based on briefs
• Responsible for the look, tone, and narrative arc of video content in alignment with brand and social messaging
• Video campaign creation and collaboration with the internal creative department
• Edit videos with limited direction based on creative direction from a project
• Collaborate with other creative professionals in different environments to create the best work
• Versioning out final assets, closed captioning, etc – be ok with the grunt work amongst the storytelling work
• Clearly communicate production and editing processes to teams, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and proactively prioritize work with the content team lead
• Shoot behind-the-scenes content and help create internal branded content

Position Requirements:

• Experience working with camera equipment
• Experience in video filming/editing using Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects
• Experience with other Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Ability to lift up to 30+ lbs
• Ability to plan and organize project files for video creation
• Organize and manage footage for video pre-production and post-production
• Inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text and elements into video
• Adding motion graphics and special effects to a video
• Creativity and attention to detail
• Desire to learn and grow
