Job Description

As the VP of Engineering, you’ll bring this private technology company into the future to pioneer the next decade of blockchain innovation. You will be responsible for looking beyond the boundaries of blockchain technology today to set and evangelize a vision for revolutionary advancements that will push the boundaries of scalability, security, interoperability, and utility. You will evangelize the vision and its business impact with senior executives and key cross-functional partners and lead a talented team of blockchain and platform experts to build and execute the vision.

What You’ll Bring

Deep Technical Blockchain Expertise & Innovative Vision

• 10+ years of experience building distributed systems in the blockchain, trading, or fintech space
• At least 5 years in executive leadership roles or as a technical co-founder
• Strong technical leadership experience in distributed systems and, ideally, blockchain
• The ability to build an excellent team and execute against tough technical challenges that advance real-world blockchain use cases
• Expertise in blockchain technologies and decentralized systems

Leadership & Strategy

• Ability to set and evangelize an ambitious technical vision and execute it
• Can balance big-picture strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, empowering teams to execute bold goals while building for long-term growth
• Possess outstanding communication skills and influence abilities
• Have a reputation for leading and developing high-performant and innovative teams
• Inspire the best in everyone you lead, manage, and work with

Developer Ecosystem Knowledge

• A developer advocate with a deep understanding and appreciation for developer needs, including onboarding, education, and support requirements
• Familiar with open-source contributions and fostering developer communities
