We are seeking a Yoga Instructor to provide trauma-aware and eating disorder-informed yoga groups to adult and adolescent programs as part of the Integrative Therapies department.

Hours/Shift: This 1099 contract position will lead an average of six 45-min trauma-informed yoga groups per week. The schedule alternates 2 and 3 afternoons a week. The week with 3 afternoons will have the 3rd be on a weekend day, so this position will work one day every other weekend.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide 2-4 trauma-informed yoga groups per day on inpatient or residential units, consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Monte Nido Walden
• Complete required group documentation on our electronic medical record software in a timely and profession manner
• Contribute to special projects and research in the Integrative Therapies department
• Work collaboratively with the integrative therapies department, with treatment teams, and with the Walden continuum

Qualifications:

Education:

• Recognized 200hr yoga teacher training and certificate
• Trauma-aware yoga training (TCTSY, TSHY, HaRT, or other trauma-informed yoga training)

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a mental health setting

Licensure/Certification:

• 200hr YTT certification
• Trauma training certificate

Knowledge:

• Must possess knowledge of yoga and anatomy as it pertains to clients with eating disorders and physical limitations, must understand psychiatric group process, therapeutic relationships, age-appropriate yoga practices, and behavior management and crisis management in a group setting

Required competencies:

• Strong group leadership skills
• Eating disorder-informed approach to physical movement
• Ability to manage diverse groups with varying needs and abilities
• Ability to work in a highly collaborate, team environment
