Emergency Physicians, PA (EPPA) is a physician owned and operated company with a Medical Scribe Program that includes 16 different locations throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul Greater Area and St. Cloud, MN. Specialties include emergency medicine, oncology, and dermatology.
A Medical Scribe works 1:1 with a physician (MD/DO), physician assistant (PA), or nurse practitioner (NP), accompanying them to each patient encounter. Scribes complete the Electronic Health Record (EHR) or patient charting in real-time enabling providers to spend more time with their patients and increase the overall workflow of the department. An EPPA Scribe types directing into the medical record everything that occurs during the patient's visit from start to finish: including the patient’s medical history, physical exam, patient outcomes, labs, imaging, dictations, and more. By working as an EPPA Medical Scribe you will become familiar with the workflow of medicine, medical decision-making process, medical terminology, different provider styles to patient care, and more.

Being a Medical Scribe with EPPA is one of the best stepping stonework experiences prior to a Medical School or a Master's of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Medical scribing hours are recognized by all medical schools and most PA schools as paid clinical hours. The EPPA Scribe Program is designed to help you get to the next step in your desired healthcare career path.
