Position: QA Test Engineer

Location: Greenwood Village (Hybrid) MUST BE LOCAL TO DENVER METRO

This is a contract to hire role paying $48/hour based upon experience offering 100% employer paid health, dental and vision insurance and a 6% 401k match upon conversion to becoming a permanent employee.

AimHire is partnering with a leading automotive claims management company to find a QA Test Engineer who will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining a critical business application. This proprietary application serves as a vital communication tool between the company and its nationwide client base. Over time, it has expanded to support internal functions, including client billing and payroll.

With exciting new ideas in the pipeline and ongoing system enhancements, we are looking for a QA Test Engineer who can bring innovative solutions, execute thorough testing, and collaborate closely with developers and leadership to ensure seamless deployment with zero downtime. This is a contract-to-hire position for a proactive and analytical professional who thrives in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional test scripts.
• Conduct thorough testing across various environments, including functional, integration, end-to-end, volume, load, and stress testing.
• Identify opportunities for automated testing to enhance efficiency.
• Continuously improve testing processes to detect and resolve issues efficiently.
• Work within the Agile Development Methodology (Scrum) to ensure smooth project execution.
• Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts to validate system functionality.
• Log and track defects using a defect tracking tool.
• Utilize UI automated testing tools such as Selenium.
• Stay updated on emerging testing technologies and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with development teams, technical leads, and the Scrum Master.
• Perform Smoke Testing before production implementations to ensure stability.

• Languages & Frameworks: PHP, Python, Django, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6-7 years of experience in application testing (unit, functional, integration, UAT, performance).
• Strong expertise in test case definition, QA tools, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in web programming and database design.
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and ensure high-quality standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with excellent planning and reporting abilities.
