Job Description: Government non-profit agency looking for a retirement plan/investment professional candidate to oversee the trust administration of 401(a) defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) retirement programs for over 245 municipal relationships across Oklahoma.
Responsibilities include being an integral part of the OkMRF leadership team with state-wide participation by training city clerks and HR personnel on retirement plan administration; presenting retirement plan alternatives to city council and trustee meetings; educating plan participants on retirement planning, plan provisions and investment basics; reading and comprehending retirement plan language and applicable IRS rules and effecting general administrative duties. The position includes extensive driving and overnight travel within Oklahoma.
Education/Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or accounting, and desired related experience such as CFP, CFA, CPA, Series 6, 7, 63, or other equivalents, is preferred. Looking for a professional with strong investing, accounting, and/or retirement plan knowledge displaying a general understanding of DB and DC plans; problem solving; professionalism with strong written and oral communication; time management; interpersonal skills; customer service; computer skills proficient in excel and pivot tables being ideal; ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines; and detail-oriented team-player with the ability to act independently when necessary.
