Job Description
We're looking for a passionate and skilled Application Oracle DBA to join our dynamic Production Services Group team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our database operations, helping to ensure the optimal performance and availability of Oracle 19c databases. This position offers the opportunity to make a real impact while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
What You'll Do:
Primary Support: Provide Level 1 support for application databases, collaborating with various teams during code deployments, debugging issues, and addressing vulnerabilities to enhance system resilience.
Database Management: Oversee and administer Oracle 19c Databases, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently within our application environment.
Effective Communication: Work closely with team members, application development leads, and stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve issues, and support essential business applications.
Cultural Leadership: Inspire and motivate your team to embrace best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement in database operations.
Performance Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve performance issues, recommend optimizations, and collaborate with application teams to implement necessary changes.
Oracle Tools: Utilize Oracle tools such as OEM, SQL Developer, and TOAD for monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting databases.
Monitoring Technologies: Leverage technologies like Splunk, App Dynamics, and Moog to proactively track database performance, diagnose issues, and suggest improvements.
Collaboration: Partner with application development leads to design and support critical business applications, ensuring database compatibility and performance.
Team Participation: Join a globally distributed team of DBAs, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
24x7 Support: Participate in a rotating 24x7 support schedule, addressing and resolving critical database issues to minimize downtime.
What We're Looking For:
Strong understanding of Oracle 19c Databases and proficiency with Oracle tools, Splunk, App Dynamics, and monitoring technologies like Moog.
Experience working closely with application development teams to design and support critical business applications.
Skilled in troubleshooting performance issues and providing recommendations for improvements.
Proven ability to lead and collaborate with globally located teams.
Willingness to participate in a 24x7 support rotation.
Knowledge of AI applications in increasing work throughput is a plus.
